Editorial Policy

How we make decisions.

What we publish

Eychgras publishes writing on digital tools, attention, internet behavior, and the psychology of how people work. We do not publish content designed to increase page views, serve advertiser interests, or rank for high-volume search terms. We publish writing that we believe will be worth reading in two years.

Independence

Eychgras is not sponsored by any company, product, or organisation. We do not accept sponsored content in any form. Tools mentioned in editorial content are mentioned because the writer uses them and has found them worth describing — not because anyone asked us to mention them.

Where affiliate relationships exist, they are disclosed inline on the specific item in question. The existence of an affiliate relationship does not affect editorial assessment. If a tool is in a Clearing, it is there because it belongs there. The affiliate link is how we generate a small revenue from that recommendation. Our affiliate disclosure policy is published at affiliate-disclosure.

Corrections

We correct factual errors when they are brought to our attention and verified. Corrections are noted inline on the piece with the date of correction. We do not silently edit published pieces. If a correction substantially changes the meaning of a passage, we note what was changed and why.

To submit a correction: contact page.

Updates

Pieces that are materially updated after publication carry an "Updated" date alongside the original publication date. Minor corrections of spelling or grammar do not trigger an updated date.

Tone and standards

We write as if the reader already understands the general subject and has come to think something through, not to be convinced. We do not use persuasion techniques designed to produce emotional responses rather than rational ones. We do not use urgency, scarcity, or social proof to drive action.

We do not publish daily. We do not publish to maintain a posting schedule. We publish when a piece is ready.

Banned phrases

The following phrases do not appear in Eychgras editorial content: "digital detox", "deep work" as a casual reference without attribution, "intentionality" as a standalone noun without context, "hustle culture" in either direction, "reclaim your focus".
